The tobacco lobby still exists. They just own Nabisco now.

Its unavoidable. Its in school, homes, doctor offices, the dentist...everywhere.
Agreed. As a parent, I very actively fight against this to make sure my kid knows what a balanced diet looks like, and what moderation is. Except I've now created a tiny little monster who thinks all people who eat pizza or ice cream are fat, and likes to point that out to them directly in public.

You are knocking someone who actually stood up and tried to implement change and encourage a healthy lifestyle?
A BAD program. She should have known better.

She didn't try, she did.
What, in your opinion, was bad about it? Generally curious to hear.

Same...trying to teach a 5 year tact is pretty difficult

The forcing part?

He said it was a bad program, in addition to the issue of forcing it upon "them" which I take to mean public schools. So I am wondering what he thinks was bad about her program(s).

Nobody was forcing anything.
Kids are still allowed to bring their own lunch.

Not a single mention of video games...
Kids have always eaten junk food.
Kids didnt always sit on their fat asses and play fortnite all day. My dad made us play outside in the summer.
Want your kids to not be fat? Take away the video games and make their lazy asses do something outside or productive.

I go to the beach every weekend here in FL and it's kinda depressing how many kids are fat. Not just chubby but looking obese.

We had video games back in the 90s when I was a kid too but we still played outside all the time.

A BAD program
It was purely symbolic.
If you really want to change healthy attitudes, give tax breaks for healthy behavior/food and let insurance add a weight surcharge.

We do it for tobacco users.
