Correct, and if Democrats were in a similar situation, they would have done that and more by this point.

The GOP is just controlled opposition for the Uniparty show that is used to distract us while every member of Congress grifts the US producer in favor of illegals.

The media subtly makes this seem like standard chaos as a result of the Trump administration. Had the GOP shutdown funding they would be getting crucified 24/7 on every news outlet and talk show. It would be a loud and constant drumbeat accentuated by tear-jearking stories of people not being able to get home for mother's funeral or little Johnny and Janey's once in a lifetime vacation to Disneyworld being destroyed.

lot of downvotes, yet none of our Moderates want to refute this, because they know it's true.

simple fix: privatize airport security (like it was pre-2001).

Should have NEVER been a function of the government. It is also insane to do a 100% "check". Given the reason for its existence in its current manifestation it was understandable in 2001 but 25 years later we have mountains of data that indicates what % of people and who would indicate further scrutiny. Forcing a group of 70 year old red hat society ladies (does the red hat society still exist) to stand in an x ray machine is insane and only exists to sale x ray machines. Why the public stands for it is a mystery.

They are doing what they were elected to do. This is how our system works. They represent FAR more people than the party in power does, just a matter of simple mathematics. It is not the job of the party not in power to rubber stamp the agenda of the party in power. Ours is a messy system which, as it turns out, is the best the world has ever seen. It ain't pretty but it works - to the point that life is better for everyone on the planet than it has ever been in history.

Boycott airports, no flights no money

The shite would hit the fan quick, at least half of Congress is invested in airline stocks or gets funding from them.

I am doing my part. My drive time / flying decision has moved from 2 hours to 12 over the last 10 years and at 12 I am probably deciding not to go at all....

Not to mention that both sides of the aisle have come to an agreement. POTUS says he'll veto it, so let the shite show continue.

Our country has never been better LOL. I know it is a popular sentiment but some perspective is required. When was life in the US better than it is today? And it will be better tomorrow, unless of course we allow ourselves to be conned into returning to a period which never existed and blow it all up.

Don't forget that they also have a historically favorable judicial branch.

Congress has, over time, concluded that it is advantageous to them to allow the executive branch to be the lightning rod while they pander to lobbyists and work on getting re-elected. Unfortunately we the people eat it up and encourage it. This is the main issue we have as a nation today....we do not demand our leaders do their fricking job and blame those we have NO control over for allowing this sort of bullshite. We can only vote for the people in our area and the president. Other than the latter everyone of them is elected to get shite done or stop shite getting done...and they fail on both accounts because they refuse to do the job they were hired to do and we accept their excuses.

Trump should immediately send in a construction crew and start dismantling the entire TSA checkpoint at a couple of these airports.

It's a game of thrones.

quote:

John Kennedy, 74, told Fox News’ The Will Cain Show on Monday that he and Republican colleague Ted Cruz had drawn up a two-step path out of the shutdown. That was to take Democrats’ offer to reopen the rest of the DHS, then pass ICE funding separately through reconciliation, where Republicans would not need Democratic votes.

Kennedy said the 79-year-old president rejected it. “No deals with the Democrats,” the Louisiana senator said Trump told them. “It would have worked. We could have had TSA paid by the end of the week.”

(D) populated city airports doing (D) things to their (D) educated populace while saying it's someone else's fault. Thank you for your attention to this (D) matter.
