Avoid 21st Avenue North down to about 17th Avenue South. The rest of Myrtle Beach is perfectly fine, especially the Golden Mile area between 30th Avenue North and 82nd Avenue North. Market Common is also a nice area on the south end.

Had many a good time at Peaches Corner, the Bowery, and the pier. Sad to hear that's now an area to avoid.

Losing the Pavilion years ago hurt that area immensely. There's far less security and police traffic down there without it. That area's always been a bit sketchy or gritty, but now it's a total mess. New mayor just got elected, so we'll see if he can turn it around.

Folks, we need some beach awareness. This young revelers just some community guidance on how to act.

Women get completely wrecked by even the slightest shove from a man… it’s crazy.

Feral animals. The worst thing to ever happen was for every person to have a video camera in their hand. This is a time when those cops should have had carte blanche to crack some skulls with their clubs.

I only go to Myrtle for the golf. I don't hang out on the beach much.

Just have a floating jailhouse and make them swim to shore for bail.

Took my son to Broadway at the beach last week, among other places for a school field trip. I would say at least 60% of the people at Broadway was culture, which was crazy to me because I was there about 12 years ago and it was probably 80% white back then. I couldn't believe how much it had changed in 12 years.

Just got back from my vacation.
I went to the most racist place in the country.
Didn’t see a single Democrat .
It was like being in a time capsule.
I will be back with the grandkids next year.
Family oriented with trad values.
Sorry but you will have to guess where I went.

25 years ago we would cruise up and down the blvd, go to broadway, hell I didn’t carry a key to our house in surfside because the door was never locked. We didn’t know how good we had it, we just stayed out of MB proper for Memorial Day weekend and the rest of the year no problems at all.
