I mean the same thing happened here with Mayfield tornados and flooding in Eastern Kentucky. Life moves on. People keep working with those communities, it’s just not what social media folks and mainstream media care to cover at this point.

Today's Washington Post headline:

"On a hurricane-ravaged Appalachian Trail, vast damage and uncertainty

Repairs to the worst-hit sections of the famed trail are expected to be extraordinarily expensive and require substantial expertise. Months of work lie ahead."

You’d never know with their politicians continuously visiting for the photo ops.

Jill Biden came last week. Walz this week. Harris has been here. Biden did the flyover. Trump came a couple weeks ago.

Same thing with the flood in Iowa in 1993. Media covered it for two days then poof, coverage all but stopped when the media discovered it was only white people who were affected.

It's as if the hurricane never happened .

Sort of like the Trump assassination attempt. A former president and current candidate was literally shot and millimeters from having his head blown off on live TV, and that has literally disappeared from national coverage and he's back to being "literally Hitler."

Agreed, they literally had a benefit concert Saturday called Concert for Carolina organized by Eric Church and Luke Combs that raised $24 million.

It was held at Bank of America Stadium in NC. Dude just isn't paying attention.

Media covers what they want and what they are told to cover. I remember Hurricane Gustav that hit Baton Rouge pretty hard. I remember working with the media. When the national folks realize NOLA was not an issue, they packed up even though BR was a mess.

NOLA played well with the national audience, no one cared about BR.

I saw a fairly long article last week in a national newspaper about how the Secret Service failed and recommendations for improving the agency.

That's about all to be said about it at this point. Perp is dead, and there's been another attempt since. Nothing new to report except to critique the protection and suggest how to avoid it happening again.

I was talking my friend over the weekend. She mentioned that some hospitals around here have stopped elective surgeries because of the iv fluid shortage.

The US elects a new president next week. That’s bigger news than a hurricane which happened over a month ago.

this sounds a lot like "one sport only guy". Don't talk baseball when it's football season.

It would make Kumswalla look bad. The MSM also does not want to highlight that FEMA is out of money because Kumswalla and Pedo Joe funneled all that cash to their favorite Americans: Illegals.
