Have been doing almost weekly grocery deliveries through Whole Foods with Amazon Prime. It's honestly been a great service until yesterday.

I placed my order and selected for delivery between 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. The shopper completed my order and I received notification for that. 2:30 PM rolled around and there had been no updates. I contacted customer service and they said they were backed up and it would be delivered soon. Okay, cool. Went and worked out and it was 6:00 PM with no groceries and now a new update that said "items not deliverable."

I contacted Customer Service again and a person named Prem from a call center in God knows where told me that they were simply out of food and that delivery would occur when they receive more food. I told him that this wasn't possible but he assured me that it was the case. Sagar, the manager, entered the chat and told me my order would be shipped via Prime. I kept telling them this was a Whole Foods delivery order from a local store, but it didn't seem to sink in.

Needless to say I was refunded my money and will now go back to my pre-pandemic ways of shopping in person.

All I can guess is the lack of workers can't keep up with the demand.

The fool-proof way to insure you get everything you put in your cart that is on wheels?

None of your story indicates a labor shortage at your local whole foods

Happens a good bit with WalMart pickup
I think it’s so many people don’t want to get out & deal with local trash in the stores that pickup & delivery services are overwhelmed

Paying someone to do your shopping is racist. You should all be ashamed.

There is not a labor shortage, there is a businesses wanting to pay below the market wage gluttony. The price of labor, just like everything else, has gone up. Businesses some how accept rising costs of goods but refuse to accept the rising cost of labor.

That is exactly why I use it.

Hate going in that place and haven't in months.

Unfortunately, it is the only grocery store left in my small town.
