can't imagine letting someone else select stuff like meat, produce, dairy etc.. for me. i don't trust anyone enough to do that.

Because at some point you have to turn a profit.

So take the grocery store. Their prices on everything including labor has gone up. So how are they going to stay open?

They can't cut prices on the goods they buy, can't lower taxes, can't really cut the utility bills, so they either have to cut labor or raise the selling price.

They can't operate without labor either.

Umm yeah they can. It just means you get your groceries @ 6pm instead of 2pm as far as the delivery deal goes.

Or you wait in line when only two cashiers are working.

And that is why a lot of them have closed.

Raise prices and lose customers. Also closed.

A product has a price people will pay for it. If it goes above that price, no sale.

Rt so by me we have a Winn Dixie rouses and whole foods.

And you think those places are staffed better than the whole foods? They weren't pre pandemic.

Whole foods was probably paying more to begin with also.

I could go to the next city and hit up trader Joe's, but there's been a wait to get in that bitch.

What is this Venezuela?

The names of those helping me made me think India or somewhere in the area.

When he told me the store was simply out of food, I could only laugh to myself.

Do you think they're incapable of looking at the inventory system from India?

No, I don’t mean was the customer service guy was in Venezuela

I mean does he really think he’s going to convince you that the Whole Foods in Baton Rouge is “out of food”?

Like happens In Venezuela

I think there was clearly a misunderstanding of what the issue was and their way of resolving it was telling me my "shipment was delayed" and would be shipped out priority express. This told me they didn't know the difference between a Whole Foods shopper and delivery service and a common purchase off Amazon being shipped via Prime.

If you are thinking that Whole Foods was out of all 28 items I ordered, most being very common grocery items, then I don't know what to tell you.

Paying someone to do your shopping is racist. You should all be ashamed.
I absolutely love everyone who is using the someone else shopping for them thing.

Why?
Because now there is a store employee on every aisle to assist me with locating specific items I'm in there shopping for.

I shop at WF weekly and there’s no lack of inventory, ever, so I call BS on that. Secondly, when I did have groceries delivered in the very beginning of the shut downs last year, I used Shipt, and other than it being pricey, the service was outstanding with the shoppers texting me as they shopped when things were out of stock and alternatives to what was on my list. My groceries were placed at my back door very neatly and of course my tips were commensurate with the service provided. For older people, or people with disabilities, I can see a very clear value in these services. It just makes sense, even for people with really busy lives and extra income, in it making life easier. I still like to see what I am purchasing, but it’s nice to have an alternative there.
