Sucks for you but you might have just helped her. If he's really your buddy and it is that obvious, confront him. Nobody should have to go through that. I would rather lose a friend like that than have to live with something happening to her that I could have prevented.

I hope you're not marking this up for clicks and replies on a message board. Domestic Violence is a very serious issue. And if true, I don't see this as a eff up but maybe a way to help. Not sure where you are but I do know there is online info regarding shelters and perhaps how to approach someone you suspect maybe in this situation. No shame in helping someone.
