Ring doorbell video with audio
quote:

A FedEx delivery driver refused to assist an 89-year-old man asking for help after he had fallen on a porch in Freeport, Texas, on July 18.Maria Kouches, the daughter of the elderly man, owns the Ring camera that captured the footage. Kouches’s father can be heard saying, “Hello, help, please. Give me a hand. I need to get up.”From a distance the driver can be heard responding, “I can’t do that, boss.”Kouches told media outlets her father had fallen about 15 minutes before the delivery was made. She explained he has fallen before and he has dementia and trouble with his legs.

Don’t blame FedEx, blame people who love trial lawyers like Democrats and JBE.

I understand not helping him directly (although I think most would)

Do not see why you can't call 911 and tell them an elderly person has fallen and needs assistance or see if someone else was in the vicinity that could aid

The old dude falls a lot. How is his dumb-assed daughter allowing him to cruise the neighborhood? She knows he will fall down and that he cannot get up. I don't think she has dad's best interest in mind.

Headline: FedEx driver helps elderly man up from a fall and elderly man contracts COVID and dies. The man’s daughter now suing FedEx for allowing their drivers to get near vulnerable citizens.

Since when can daughters control what grown arse men do? Old man probably fought off the Chinese in Korea or something. He's going out on his own terms.

Although it's a dick move by the driver, in today's litigious society, I sort of understand. Say that driver did the right thing and helped him up but he held on to the 89 year old's body a little too hard and bruised him badly.

Suddenly the man can sue for personal injury against FedEx when the driver just tried to do the right thing.

It's a dick move but one that given the lawsuit culture of 2020, I can sort of understand.
