Att Tv (used to be called Directv Now) with 100+ channels including HBO/HBO Max , LUS fiber, and Netflix is about $150 per month.
Cox upped my bill from $160 to $240 one time and I called and cancelled.

My concern is just that I will have to still pay for Cox internet, and we use Cox home phone for the alarm system (my SO refuses to bend on this and switch to mobile). So by the time we pay both of those to Cox and then pay YouTube TV, is there still a savings?

He claims we tried mobile for the alarm system and something went awry with it. I don't know if I remember that, but I have the memory of a goldfish so who knows.
Another thing with YouTube TV is we keep the TV on in the kitchen/dining area when hanging in there, and it isn't a smart TV. So I assume we couldn't watch YouTubeTV there unless we buy some kind of device we can plug into that YouTubeTV that supports it?

I called DirecTV to see if they had any specials going on right now to reduce my bill (currently about $150 including taxes). They gave me a $100 credit a month for 3 months and told me to call back when it runs out to see if there's anything else they can do at that time. No contract, no strings.

I switched to YouTube tv for fiddy a month along with philo for another 20. Only reason I got philo was because my kid begged for Nickelodeon. We love it. DirecTV can kiss my arse!

I pay 70 a month for internet, 12 a month for Hulu/Disney+, and apparently 11 a month for Amazon prime

FYI if you didn’t know, CBS Viacom is coming to YTTV this summer. Not sure of the exact date yet though, but you can cancel philo soon.

I went from DirecTV ($100) to DirecTVNow ($35|$50|$60) which turned into ATTtv ($85) and now i'm moving to YouTubeTV ($50).

The best way is to put in a future cancellation. Then they email you or send a regular mail about staying with them for a massive discount. It’s a different department than anything the retention department can even offer. I forgot what it’s called.
I ended up saving like 50-65 dollars this way and they even locked it in for a year or two.
I got LUS now though.
