Yep, wife and I hit Tx Roadhouse a couple weeks ago and the steaks were plenty fine. Did Vic & Anthony’s for her birthday and was way disappointed in the atmosphere for the $238 I spent. Decibel level high enough to need shooting muffs, won’t go back. Ember is next on our list.

Outback is one of the chains on my approved list with Cracker Barrel, Ruth Chris, Flemings, Popeyes, potbelly, Zea’s, Five Guys, New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co., Lit Pizza, Walk-On’s, Waffle House, etc.

I have nothing to ask, but the wings back in the day (early 2000s) were the best wings evah. It was a travesty when they changed to a more classic wet buffalo recipe.

I also used to work there and with the discount could get the no rules burger and fries for the same price as a burger and fries from Burger King or McDonalds. GOAT.

Based on all that, and the general quality to value, I will stand with you to defend Outback. Haven't been in a few years. Need to fix that.

For a steak and a glass of wine? It's not like he ate a hamburger and drank a glass of water

Yes there is. They don't have the Toowoomba pasta anymore.

Perhaps a TulaneLSU top 10 dishes at Golden Corral is in our future?

1. Saltgrass
2. Longhorn
3. Outback
4. Texas Roadhouse

But all four are good for a similar price.

I used to rank Ralph and Kakoo's pretty highly but the last steak I had at the one in Bossier was disappointing.

When my kids were young, Outback was our go to for pick up. But they messed up when they discontinued the horseradish topping.

I used to work in an office that was due south of Ruth’s Chris, so the smell of grilled steak got me in there for lunch way more often than I should have. They were good (obviously), but, all things considered, Outback was damn close. And, even for lunch, RCs would still be about 1.5x the price of a full dinner at Outback.

My old man probably averaged a trip to RC once a week when he was working, but now that he’s retired—and has enough money to go anywhere he damn well pleases—he’ll end up at Outback for the occasional steak more often than not.
