But whatever. I'm a pussy.

I don't think you are a pussy.

I think you are stating that you don't trust that you wouldn't cheat on your wife if given the opportunity and you believe a joint FB account at least removes one avenue for you to cheat.

Ok, then why not just let her have your password instead of showing everyone your mangina with the joint account?

Seriously, people. It's facebook. Who really gives a shite? I have my own twitter, email (multiple accounts), and she has no clue what my name is here or even cares. Separate cell phones (I've seen people sharing those as well as insane as that sounds). I have my friends that I hang out with, she has her girlfriends. We're not handcuffed together.

Then the previous reason you gave for the joint Facebook account makes no sense, pussy.

I said this earlier, no, I don't believe I would cheat, but from what I've witnessed, no one is immune to it. So this one little thing I was fine with doing away with.

I don’t think you know that with this comparison, you’re implying you have a cheating problem.

Right? He's implying that he wants to cheat, so he puts himself in situations where he can't do it because he doesn't trust himself.

Do you ever travel for work, or does your wife? If so, are you worried that you will cheat if given the opportunity when you are away from your wife?

it was more of a proactive approach. I've personally seen seemingly rock solid marriages fall apart out of nowhere, and even though my wife does and should trust me, it scares me how quickly and easily it can all happen.

I agree, however, relationships that fall apart are going to do it even if Facebook was never in the picture

But those people didn't cheat because of social media. Yes, it may have facilitated their cheating, but they would've found another way.

Joint accounts should result in banishment from Facebook. They are awful. Does the couple have so little trust in one another that they can’t have individual Facebook accounts?

Every time I have seen it and known the couple well, it is a situation where there has been infidelity. So, to answer your question, yes.
