Ask them.

This guy-
has never had a FB Account.
Mrs Füt has one but she rarely posts on it, mostly only stalks.
The thought of she & I having a joint account is (to me) goofy.
Maybe if one of us were so technologically challenged to need the other’s help?

This needs a spinoff thread for things you automatically judge people for upon sight.

Hell, I can't even have a FB account. just saying.

Women always control join accounts, at least that's what it seems.
I only know one couple with a joint account and it's pretty clear they both use it. Half the time it's recipes and the wife trying to sling her shitty handmade jewelry and the other half is the husband bitching about ATL and UGA sports. Weirds me out because I'm never sure who I'm talking to.

No, quite the opposite. Easier to manage one account than two separate ones, especially if you don't look at it often. Also, if you are married, then you know most of the same people (or know of them) anyway, so who cares...keeps everything on one account.
This doesn't make any sense. I only manage one account now because my wife handles hers. Why would I manage two accounts unless I'm pretending to be my wife?

My younger sister is mentally challenged yet manages her fb account just fine btw.
So yeah...lame attempt to defend your joint fb account. We are still gonna judge you as weird as frick.

It's always those couples where the wife is involved in a pyramid scheme

I could excuse an older couple doing this.

I don't do Facebook.
It's all housewives gossiping and sharing recipes, hoodrats going on about how hard life is and there ain't no good meen out there to take care of they bastard babies and friends showing off their revolving stash of new toys because they don't have a fulfilling life to keep them satisfied.
Wife asked me at some point if I wanted her to put mybname on hers in case my acquaintances look for me on there.
So I said sure, why not.

I look down on any adult that has a Facebook account, joint or otherwise.

Your Facebook feed is ultimately a reflection of the kind of people you choose to "friend". I don't have hoodrats on my Facebook because I'm not friends with hoodrats.

I can give you two situations that I have inside knowledge about. One is a coworker whose wife wanted him to have a Facebook account, which he didn’t really want so she created (with his consent) a husband/wife account. If you really want to make sure he see’s something posedt, you have to tell him in person or ask his wife on FB to tell him to look at it. He thinks it’s quite funny and tend to agree with him.
I also have a relative whose wife insisted they combine their accounts because she had concerns about who he was communicating with on Facebook. Turned out she was stepping out and they are now divorced.
I know others who have them but I don’t know details. I don’t quite get it.

One of my high school classmates ended up with one, and it wasn't hard to figure out why.
When he had his own separate account, he would send me occasional "how you doing?" private messages to let me know that I hadn't aged a day, that I looked great, and that he'd love to catch up for drinks.
I always ignored them, but I doubt that I was the only one that he was trying to lure with private messages.

I stopped judging them a couple years ago. The scenario is usually because the husband didn't have an account and didn't care to. A joint account allows their friends/family to at least tag/include him in events/pics/etc.
TLDR it's usually because the husband/boyfriend has little interest in FB.

I was pretty confused by this post until I realized you're probably a woman.

FB is great for being able to reach someone (and to be reached). I don't need it that often, but it's worth keeping around for that reason alone.
Sooo....... are you only using facebook from a desktop, or did you forget that the little rectangular electronic device you play games on and play on facebook with is a phone?
You guys calling people with joint accounts weird are too stupid to realize that you're just as weird being on facebook as an adult. Get a fricking life and quit worrying about updating the world on yours and caring about everyone else's.

My parents do. Why would they need separate accounts at their age?

Are these people so afraid that their spouse is cheating on them on FB?
Yes.
I have three Facebook friends that are either joint accounts or the husband doesn’t have one. All have had infidelity issues.
