NAS Jax in the Octagon? I remember one of the squadrons holding open Captains Mast in the keyway that leads to inner circle. Guy was accused of having some Coke and MJ. MJ wasn’t as big a deal then as under Carter over 75% of military was likely doing drugs. Anyways, he asked the sailor for his response - and the sailor reaches into his back pocket - pulls out his bifold wallet and flicks it and says “Beam me up Scotty”. He got the Big Chicken Dinner lol.

You probably went to the OP Holiday Inn club a time or two then. I recall racing to Happy Jax after I got off and getting a rum and coke handed to me in the drive thru and it was legal! Good times
