Your list forgot Peej. And the Stone Cold gif hasn’t been posted yet so my guard isn’t up yet.

That is something else. AccuWeather has this development near the Leeward's and progressing thru the Caribbean into the Gulf.

Always a possibility in the early season with a Southerly moving MCS if it makes it to the Gulf this time of year. It has been showing up to some degree or another over the past few runs of the GFS. Ensembles are picking it up, too, but won't have a great read on it until if/when whatever is left of it comes off the coast.

However, it is still embedded within the ITCZ and we've seen models be too aggressive with these low running waves in the recent past.
Models backing off of development until later on. Not surprising given that the wave is broad and embedded in the ITCZ.

Am I a bad person because I think hurricanes are a bigger issue than abortion?

They're definitely more interesting.

Models have been showing that on and off for a bit now. The 12z runs today were more aggressive but either way, it does look like some energy will get trapped under the ridge and bring some decent rain chances to Texas.

2. Gulf of Mexico:
An area of low pressure could form early next week over the
northern Gulf of Mexico. Any development of this system would
likely be slow to occur as it drifts westward in the north central
or northwestern Gulf of Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
