The track moving further south is insanely good news for Hangit

Sorry Lanier. I wanted this thing to go south, straight to Haiti, and just sit there until it rains and blows itself out. Damned dog eaters.
I was wishing the storm to go away from the US, and go somewhere that lives damaged, so it wouldn't do any more damage.
But no, all the downvote queers stopped sucking dick long enough to hit that button.

Just a 5 degree change in heading is ~9 miles for every 100 miles, and he's still 400 miles out. And the forecast track is not straight. The timing of the turn back to ENE will make a big difference in final landfall point. Still many variables in play.

How so? The updated surge maps are still showing 10-15 feet.
I don’t see how this verifies for Tampa unless it goes directly into or north of Tampa.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Something to keep in mind if Milton stays stronger than forecasted

Keep up with the tracking like this, please. It is helpful.

So, does Peej have his powers if not powered by Budweiser?

They’re not going to update the surge that close to the center since 10-15 is possible with a slight jog north.
My comment is more along the lines of a slight trend in the forecast moving south of Tampa. It’s not set in stone obviously, but you’d rather see the center moving away from you if at all possible. Surge to the north of landfall is going to be significantly lower than surge to the south.
These two points are less than 60 miles away. Helene split the middle of them on approach. The one on the west saw 5.3 feet of surge. The one on the east caught 14.1 feet of surge.

Peej interference won't result in a technicality and lose me my dibs call on your sn, posting privileges, and the $20k will it?

I thought that Liz chick from last night had built a huge karma magnet with her Hurricane glasses and faith in God / I-75 deflecting Milton. But then dukke v steps in...

Legend or Boat, or any other pros out there, can you explain what this WV image is showing. Such a sharp line forcing everything to the east but not (yet) impacting Milton.

It looks like Milton has a lead blocker.

Here is a zoomed in view of the cone from the interactive map on the NHC website.
Looks like Siesta Key and Longboat Key are about to be under 10 feet of water.

I am so restless. The uneasiness is almost tangible. I generally am not fearful of hurricanes, but this wait has seemed immensely long and tiresome. It's like knowing a bomb is going to explode, so you get ready, and the seconds leading up to the explosion feel like years.
