The baby Milton to the northeast is hanging on strong. Geez.

Imagine knowingly waiting for said bomb to go off and being right under it.
That’s you.
Praying for everyone staying but man sometimes you just need to evacuate

No I shouldn't have. I have zero concern for my life. I am 8 miles from the beach. Irma and Ian were immense storms and we were fine. Why would I leave my home? I am speaking about the uneasiness of knowing there is a bad moon a rising, and it feels like he is taking his precious time.

Sorry not trying to I’ll go back to lurking

You will probably survive it, but if you don't, you won't have anyone to blame but yourself.

Could we not replay the stupidity of last night?

Legend or Boat, or any other pros out there, can you explain what this WV image is showing. Such a sharp line forcing everything to the east but not (yet) impacting Milton.
I can't see the image you posted, but I think I see what you're talking about. It seems like some type of outflow, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else will see it and chime in.

EDIT: nah.

Here it is again. The NASA site only keeps the link active for a few minutes.
Is it a 'front' or a 'dry line' or something else coming in from the west and pushing east?
Whatever it is, it seems to be slightly affecting outflow to the west of Milton.

I am so restless. The uneasiness is almost tangible. I generally am not fearful of hurricanes, but this wait has seemed immensely long and tiresome. It's like knowing a bomb is going to explode, so you get ready, and the seconds leading up to the explosion feel like years
Oh shut up. You brought it on yourself.
You got your attention, now go back to lurking.
Everyone, just ignore her.

Done. Didn’t really scroll much through some of the BS last night, just looked for hurricane info after the crazy RI.
My bad, y’all.

Looks like a cold front to me

I think it is outflow. Think of similar images from a mess of Spring storms and the outflow boundaries that form from those and blast away from the storm, usually East. This would, of course, be a larger scale.

The StormGeo guys we have in our daily storm meetings were calling it some sort of upper level stream and what was the main reason in their confidence in their track going into Tampa 2 days ago. It’s the reason we only flew non-essential personnel in and stayed flowing.

100 percent. Stop the crap on these threads.

Yep. I can’t remember exactly what it was they were calling it.
