But guys, im sure that Psych guy is right, nobody further than 10 miles from the shore is going to be in harms way. Just going to be inconvenienced
For the record, I am not the Psych guy being referred to here.

It all depends on what happens when it hits the wind shear. I could do nothing but spin the storm up and it hits as a cat4, or it could shear off some and hit as a cat3. No one knows yet, the next 24hours are gonna tell everything.

Good news is it looks like a High pressure ridge will sit over the SE after Milton moves out, closing the gulf for business in the near future
What does your Catfish Model say about a cold front kicking these 90 degree days out for good?

Guilty by association, baw.

So we just flew into FLL from MSY. Plane got up to 41,000 ft with a little bit of turbulence at that altitude. Weather over the Gulf looked great today. Normally SWA flies along the panhandle then cutting down before the handle ends. We flew directly over TPa and headed towards FLL. Flight time cut down from what's normally 2 hours to about 1 hour 35 minutes.
Weather down here is gross with a lot of humidity from the Atlantic disturbances.

Crazy how all the models have tightened up between Clearwater and Bradenton. Right into the bay. Should have named it Gasparilla! Cyclocane

It's good company baw. Where we think logically and consistently intead of becoming an emotional basketcase. I get that a lot of people are suffering from some severe PTSD over one storm or another though so I guess I'll give them a pass.

Looks like Milton may be back to strengthening.

How about you go pitch a tent where Milton is supposed to make landfall and ride it out.

924 last recon pressure

Milton is clearly stabilizing the inner core again and appears to be strengthening. Reconnaissance will be out there again in a couple hours.

Levi's vid said that shear from West to East may not damage the storm as much as previously thought because it( the wind shear) is heading to the north over Texas instead of staying put.
Amazing that minute weather details 400 miles away can impact things so much.
Nail biter time

Great
So does anyone else on the OT have a hard-headed family member (son) in Sarasota that thinks they are going to ride this storm out two miles from the beach?
I am beside myself right now….

Get his dumb arse outta there at all costs. (I'm sure you're trying). This one is nothing to play with.
