Yet you continue to berate posters who ask the obvious questions when trying to determining landfall.

I'm not berating anyone.

In succession it will always be in the immediate cone. It's a moving triangle with its outer span half the size of the gulf at any point. It can really do nothing but give a general direction until 2-3 days out but still shifts when the specifics are the most important.

Here is the first NHC advisory graphic.

Notice where Irma is supposed to be in 5 days. Here is where she was 5 days later:

Notice how close? Do you see where she was supposed to be 5 days from then? Here is where she was in that 5 days:

That's incredibly impressive. Take your ignorant comments elsewhere. Thanks.

Obviously, they need more triangular math.

Looks to be going straight over Tampa and Tally now. Woah. They weren't expecting this just two days ago. On a side note we here in Orlando may be out of the cone soon.

Unlike 95% of the posters on this site I actually studied physics, trigonometry, and metereology in college. I guess that's why it's so frustrating to see posters claiming scientific knowledge not able to understand the simple concept of changing trajectories.

They should have been expecting it. Or at least prepared for it. It's not like it wasn't a possibility 2 days ago.

I disagree - if they do not do it that way, then people wont take it seriously - then when they do get hit, they bitch because the meteorologists and weather experts didn't do enough to warn them of the seriousness.

Um...you're overlooking the sadly obvious other problem, that a large number of citizens have no idea where they live and would be more likely to find their home on a map, blindfolded and playing pin the tale on the donkey than without a blindfold and no highways or city names given.

I just wanted to chime in and say Stephanie Abrams is hot as a two dick rooster.

I would definitely take her to the shed, take the blue pill, put the strap on that arse and give her my dropsonde until the impending surge engulfed us both.

Shits amazing man. The closer it's gotten to landfall the more idiots it's drawn out that have no interest in what actually happening but just trying to stir shite up. It's so fricking annoying.

I love explaining to people who genuinely want to know but the annoying trend of this thread is keeping me away.

You're right. This will get into the GOM, hit Tampa, and your comments that were focused on Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, or Alabama will have been totally justified. Congrats.

It really sucks when this veers from an informative discussion and onto a pissing match over who's the bigger idiot.
