When is it suppose to lose "steam" and potentially become a lower category storm?

Foxy's may have lost its roof on JVD. It's raining inside the bar. It is open to the outside so it could just be sidewys rain pouring in.

I've got some large pine trees in my yard (forest acres area). I'm not feeling great about this forecast here.

Ya, I've got one in the front yard that isn't in great shape. I'm also in Forest Acres.

The NHC keeps moving it slowly east. Again- this hurts some further north but I just hope this SOB turns even faster and just goes fishing.

Had there been a single projection today of it going into the gulf? Looks like we are officially in the clear but I'm scared for folks in Florida and along the east coast.

The cone has been moving further and further east. Still hoping it swings back out to sea.

I mean, a couple days ago, people were saying that it was going to make landfall in Florida. Prepare yes. But this can easily change.

I like it when the idiots complain after the hurricane saying "they had days to evacuate". Prepare, yes, butnit simply isn't feasible to have everyone near the cone evacuate 5 days before landfall

Thanks but I haven't been there in over a year. AUC and all its students, stafff, and families should be good since campus was built to withstand a cat5 and it is on high ground.

They have ben saying Thursday to Friday is the time frame of really knowing where this thing is going to go given the severity of the turn it is forecasted to make. That 12-20 hour window is the difference in 192-320 miles of where the storms path will take it if it keeps up it current tracking speed.

Weather guys if this thing skirts the coast would the interaction with the coast and/or water temperature further North have any chance of weakening it. I have to assume the farther north it goes the colder the water it will interact with even if the changes are minimal. Just looking for any positive news for the people along GA/SC/NC if it skirts Florida.

Foxy's Webcam

Lookout is still walking around the bar. Judging from the St. John webcam it's just starting to really roll in.
