Local weather report saying that When it comes off of the southern tip of Florida and enters the Gulf, it could slow down which will make it more likely impacted by the cold front coming down later next week.
Looking more like an issue for the eastern part of the gulf.
Haven’t seen much in the way of intensity beyond low cat 1 with most calling tropical storm intensity.

Eta is looking decent this morning but dry air moving from the west should eventually work it's way into the core of the system. The timing of this will play a role in the impacts on S. FL. It will then have a couple of days of more favorable conditions over the Southern Gulf early next week before conditions deteriorate and the system should either move off to the NE or drift northwards and weaken.

Looks like 60 knots (70 mph) is possible at next advisory. SFMR reading of 62 knots was found on last recon pass.

They went lower but I mentioned the other day that a weak hurricane into S. FL can't be ruled out. It could also gain hurricane status in the Gulf next week. However, it will most likely be on a weakening trend as it moves north later in the week.

If the 1st front doesn't pick the system up then we might see Louisiana in the Cone for next weekend.

Right now I am forecast in the light green, or 1-2" of rain. That is like a summer's day.
