so was Ike. he had a huge windfield too. go look at some pics of the Bolivar Peninsula after Ike and tell me if a Cat 2 is something to worry about or not.

The good thing about being on an island is that IF (big if) you and your house can weather the surge, the water has plenty of places to go back to so post hurricane flooding is not usually gonna stick around long if at all.

The seas at the frying pan are a good 15-20 ft.
