Actually her sister she lives with has offers from family members in Florida. They won’t leave. I’ve offered to get her. I’ve offered to get her a hotel. I’ve offered to fly her out . They won’t do it. Crazy I know.

I agree the best solution is the ridge weakens and it turns out to sea. I take no pleasure in seeing others in harms way. After having been through so many storms I know the horror of the post hurricane situation.

So flooding is really becoming a huge concern in my mind.
I rode out Jeanne, Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Irma. Irma caused the highest retained water. The ground is somewhat saturated already but I am ready here.

The summer I met on Florida spring break 99 was definitely not a dry one.

There’s a storm chaser I watch on Periscope for storm updates - he gives no fricks and gets out in the storm, but also seems to really know his stuff. His name is Jeff Piotrowski.

Was he the one we all watched that almost died in Mexico Beach?
No, he is a Harvey legend. I don’t remember exactly where he was, Rockport, Port Aransas...

Rainfall for the GFS path up the spine of Florida. Over 2' north of landfall point, over a foot all the way up to Jacksonville and the flow will be mostly onshore for over a day.
Obviously it's path dependant on who gets the most but we're starting to get signals for a dangerous flood potential.

I would say to wait for the Tropical Tidbit video this afternoon for an update on that.

Where are you? And is your daughter going back home or planning to stay in Jortsvegas?
ETA: If she's staying, we're here if she needs anything. I bought a shitload of beer and a cookie cake.

GFS has it going back offshore and reforming for another run at NC?

I am a half hour west of the mouse. She is staying. She will be fine and if she has issues, her dad will find a way to get up there. Rumor has it that he is old, but pretty resilient, and cantankerous.

I’m getting a bad feeling about this one. Don’t like it at all.

I'm guessing in that scenario, the remnants of that front that just passed through would block it and then the expected weakness in the high would pull it north?

Anybody remember the URL to that live stream from the frying pan? We might need it.

It would be helpful to me if one of you who knows would list in your opinion the order of the historical accuracy of the various models from best to worst.
I keep seeing conflicting predictions by the various models but I don't really know which models have been pretty accurate in their previous predictions and which models are less than dependable historically.
Thanks.
PS- Or, if there is a website which tracks the accuracy of the various models please tell me what it is.
