I'm not expecting to miss that much. I just thought it was an interesting note that may have impact with a nominal increase in speed.

Yeah it was because the turn was still 72 hours out, so a 1 mph miss on speed means you miss by 72 miles one way or another.

I know you love the wishcasting at Storm 2k, it's just bothersome catching up on the thread and reading the same stuff here from you.

You do you, but keep the Storm2k style stuff there.

No I left the thread earlier because you were being a total dick to me just because I am trying to understand things and ask questions.

I see you havent changed.

At least I am not posing like im a Met

If someone asking why a trend is a trend offends you, maybe you should offer your Met services to Democratic Underground.

Interesting question. I know the affects on coral reefs are both devastating and necessary for long term health and growth. I’ve never researched or considered much how fish populations respond before, during or after a major hurricane. Thanks for the new obsession!

No science but logic says they stay deeper to avoid the turbulence at the top of the water column.

That's a big ol' ocean. They do what a lot of humans don't; get the frick out of dodge.
I imagine it is similar to birds when a major storm system moves into an area. They either lay low or leave.

You weren't posting questions - you specifically said Dorian needs to turn soon or it will hit Florida, despite the fact that all of the guidance shows the turn was still 24-48 hours away. When you do ask questions, they're typically prefaced by something you "heard on another forum."

This isn't the first tropical thread where you've done this. You go to storm2k, get a good dose of wishcasting, then come here with it. It's tiresome and mucks up a thread, so I called you out. Sorry not sorry.

My interest is less how they survive the storm, although much of the fish population cannot survive at deep for a long period. The entire ocean ecosystem is dependent of the reefs. Strong hurricanes help by “flushing out” old, dead, decaying portions of the reefs and pieces of healthy reef that’s broken off and “redistributed” can help new reef formation. Hurricanes also help lower temps and can help fight reef bleaching. On the other hand, look at what the homes on Abaco look like and picture the reefs as having similar destruction. Reefs also help protect the shoreline by breaking larger waves so major reef damage directly impacts island damage.

Don't worry about the rest of the numbers, we've got a noticable secondary spike in winds there.

Confirms that the ERC is probably starting.

But you literally pull shite from 2k and reword it to make it sound like you are well versed in this shite

Would you like me to pull up your post history where you admit this?

Yeah the new GFS just came out and it may have shifted only about 10 miles closer to the coast at most. Too close for comfort but still 40 to 50 miles offshore.

Yes. I don't do anything of the sort. I've read storm2k a handful of times but can't deal with the stupidity. We had this entire conversation with GeauxMEDIC during the Barry thread already.

I read about this stuff and absord as much as I can from pros, but I've never once stated I'm a pro. Hell, usually I just say I'm good as posting gifs and images from great sites. I know what I know and, more importantly, I know what I don't know.

I would argue that what The Weather Channel does is borderline criminal.

Y'all have fun. I gotta go to bed. Hopefully all the carribean doves began a migration and flew to Mississippi. And hopefully Dorian isn't one of those left lane driver assholes. Hopefully it is courteous and moves over to the right lane.
