I was just in Turks and Caicos two weeks ago and they are still rebuilding from a storm from something like five years ago
They had one storm shelter but yeah I would never want to be on one of those small flat islands when a hurricane hits.

Man there is still no guarantee this thing turns. The forcast could change in a couple of hours. The only reason I don't see it turning east is the NorthEaster we are getting now and will continue.

From past hurricanes and rain events, you are going to get some flooding. Right now it is just a matter of how bad it will be. 20 or 30 miles makes a ton of difference.

Maybe. Yes, there are a lot of dollars being spent on generators, plywood, batteries, and spam. But in the long run, these dollars are just being shifted to hurricane prep from where they would have been spent.
