What’s really fricked up is Freeport, one of their main shipping hubs is going to get slammed and put out of commission. I can’t even fathom the destruction this storm is going to cause over there.

I don't know if it was flagged but the first plane that came in from due N found a wind bard of 142 knots which would be 163 mph.

I'm outside Savannah right on the coast. Guess I'll get the plywood out.

"track appears to be shifting towards South Carolina"

I'm going to quit coming to these threads I live in South Carolina and I've been following these threads for the last two to three years and this sentence invariably comes up. I think it's my fault :(

Nope it’s not your fault; might be mine. Thought it was mine the last four years but then I moved. Still haven’t sold my house on James Island yet though...

That means whatever it touches gets destroyed. Ask Sir Richard Branson what 165 mph gusts did to his home that was rated for 225.

Has Disney moved the cast members off of Castaway Cay yet?

Anyone here in the Bahamas? Never been there but I’m wondering where do people go to escape these? Are there any safe, we’ll byilt buildings to provide safety???

And where do the rescue efforts for them come from???

The problem with the bahamas is they are totally flat. That storm will tear through them like they're not even there.

This is one of the most compact small major hurricanes i have seen. Anyone have a comparison on the size and speed?

This thing is starting to piss me off. Heading downtown to start prep on our building. Best of luck to everyone that might be in the way of this fricker.

I'll have to work if it hits so not too worried. Booked a hotel in Auburn for the family if it comes to it but not going to do anything till Monday. Already have fuel, generator, plywood for each window etc before the season started so just hoping I get to be home today to watch the Hogs.
