and they'll teach their children that in 2016 clowns stalked children in the woods and on street corners.

Frightened kids will say, "I'm so happy we didn't grow up in 2016! That's terrifying!"

Think about how stupid our society will appear to humans 1,000 years from now.

1,000 years from now we will probably be slaves to some super jellyfish species.

I hear you. But if we get to the point that we (mankind) can look back and see some of the messed up things happening now and be genuinely appalled, it will be a relief... and a sign of true progress.

I'm not a doomsday prepper or anything (I'm actually cautiously optimistic)... but sometimes the little, artificial bubble of progress we're floating in seems awfully fragile. And there's no ignoring some of the societal forces trying to pop our little bubble.

Everyone now knows that electrolytes are not good for crops. However, maybe Twitter-ade will be developed one day and be the ultimate downfall of the food supply.

I usually like to upvote when someone is getting hammered with downvotes but I couldn't bring myself to do it with this one.

It's more likely they'll teach their children that in 2016, two clowns ran for president.
