Is the gf trustworthy? Or has she given you reasons to think something shady is going on? If not, then you are showing some serious insecurity and need to get that worked out before it causes some serious problems and you lose this person.
It sounds like she didnt say anything bc she knew youd jump to conclusions and/or didnt want to have you worry over nothing. I know Ive had to go out of town on short notice. It happens all the time. Unless theres reason for concern, you need to get yourself over whatever the insecurities stem from.

Then she talks about trying to rack up mileage to keep a company car and instead of driving back to this location tomorrow she is going to spend the night
She's got a reason to stay the night...

OP is insecure.
Hundreds of thousands of people travel for work, many of them last minute, and manage not to cheat.

And you’re still around?
I don’t care if she’s got a vise grip between her thighs. Run. Screaming. In the other direction.

ive been in sales 15 years. Its crazy to hear the stories when we meet at conferences of all the side pieces people have in other cities.
If shes going to the same places over and over, then shes got something going on. BBC would be my guess
When I was working in restaurants, I'd see this all the time. Hell, some of the baws had side pieces that worked at the restaurant. In 9 years, I saw one guy's ole lady only one time ever.

It seems a little premature to start looking for a side piece. Enjoy the space when she’s gone and ask her for a heads up on any potential travel plans.

yeah, it's tough for people who don't have to travel to get used to their SO traveling. but, this smells of distrust. maybe she already cheated?

I feel like if she were cheating, she’d be laying the ground work & telling you immediately when it became a possibility, not holding off til the last minute.
I don’t travel for work, but I have a SO who gets extremely annoyed when I tell him plans last minute. I tend to be spontaneous, so it’s not a big deal to me. He plans everything to a neurotic degree, so he thinks it’s inconsiderate. We’ve learned to meet in the middle. He cuts me some slack, knowing I’m like this, and I try to tell him as soon as potential plans are in the works.
Assuming you want to stay in this relationship, try to talk about a reasonable compromise. Or try to figure out why it bothers you, if you know her job involves last minute travel.

Meh..
I just think in a relationship you should be upfront about your work plans especially if it deals with spending the night somewhere. I think its a respect thing. I had to travel for work Saturday while she was out of town but, I made sure to tell her the day I found out, just kinda a fyi thingy.
She got upset at me when i told her, she shouldve told me well in advance so i didnt make plans for us that now have to be cancelled.
And the only reason I found out yesterday was because I asked to use one of her thumb drives and she said sure, but im taking the other one to Atlanta tomorrow.
I was like, so you are going to ATL tomorrow?
She was like, YEs.
Then this morning for after breakfast, she said, "remember i wont be home for lunch.."
I go home for lunch and she has packed her to go bag..
I call and ask was she going to be home tonight and she said no..
Then goes on about me traveling to MS and said she had no problem with me going. HELLO SAB, I told you and you were out of town anyways!

she's probably tired of seeing you cry for a week leading up to her trip so, she tells you last minute.

I’d be happy to have the whole bed

In the beginning, she was very dishonest about other guys.
Her past reeks of being dishonest in relationships and cheating. High school buds of mine have told me stories about her. And I have verified most. She got better and tries but a leopard cant change its spots.
She had an ex sending her nude pics of himself to her on her birthday and she ended up emailing them to herself.
Then, the 21-25 yo guys she calls "friends" she always starts the convo up as, "I was just thinking of you..."
shite like that...

Also, please address multiple questions as to whether you are female.
