very slowly. Maybe take them to a house in the country and gradually each day teach them how to live in the modern world. If it got too much for them, tell them to live in a hut in the woods until they were ready to try again.

You can find out right now, just take a trip to the Sentinel islands. Only the people there haven't even made it to the 1700's yet.

I’d put them on my couch and show them the 50 First Dates video Adam Sandler showed to Drew Barrymore every day

Say, "You guys were right, but your progeny didn't listen."

Hand them a history book (it will be more relatable to them than the internet.)

They’d probably react the same way us baws do when we see UFO’s.

Walk them to the restroom - they likely need it after the trip and it would be a welcome and great first lesson in their new world.

It would make them appreciate some of the coming adjustments in their thinking.

Better yet, how would someone from 2026 be acclimated to the 1700's?

If i showed the greatest president and American ever, Ben Franklin, what was going on now days, he would flip tables and start rabble rousing.

The man didn’t invent the internet, found America, write the Declaration of Independence, design air conditioners, beat the Mexicans at the Alamo, and draw the plans for automobiles for nothing

Would you even be able to understand each other? 1700’s English isn’t necessarily the same as 2026 English.

But, could you keep the person in an isolated room and slowly, over months, ramp them up to the modern world so that their mind could still function?

Not by doing this, that’s for damn sure

While certain vocab choices and references would be out of place, we’d be able to communicate quite easily in English.
