You're an idiot if you hire a good looking nanny. Unless you're looking to self destruct, which many people are, you should be looking for a retiree. Don't be stupid.

For starters, call her a "nanny" like every normal person does

Some middle aged mexican woman shouldn't make her too jealous and your kids will learn spanish

Gown much do you think a nanny makes in a year? $20k? $30k? $40k? All of those are significantly more expensive than the vast majority of day cares

We paid our nanny a little under $50k and the kids still went to daycare. It was cheaper paying that then paying for the divorce bill.

She’s against daycares (and I tend to agree with her due to daycare safety issues)

That lady at the end of your street living in the shitty trailer offering to watch your brats for $20 a day is not a daycare.

Don't you live in your parents backyard? Just have them watch the kids.

Still upset about your dad teaching your son to ride a bike while you were too busy posting babe threads?

I’m trying to figure out a way to try to bang the babysitter? That’s not what my intent is.

What the hell do you and your wife do that you paid a nanny $50k/year AND sent your kids to day care?

Good attempt but oh so far from success.

Tell her we need a babysitter, and make the process a joint effort. If you all of a sudden didn't work from home, what would y'all do?

Well then, you and I need to have a little chat as I’m in need of some new, shinny brass ones.

We are working on new Brass Truck Nutz as we speak which play jazz music when they bounce around. The Brass Bone Truck Nutz will be out in the Spring of 2020.

I would definitely be sure to specify that the nannie needs to be a 20 something female. It's good to be specific in these situations.

It's also good to take charge. Tell her you'll handle the interview and hiring process. If possible, make it so they never meet. That way your wife can be completely hands off. This will take a lot of pressure off her.

No...no you wont.

What do you think you're going to pay this nannie? For how many hours per week?

You will definitely want to create the Human Resources manual too for this new employee and design a standard uniform that changes from day to day.
