I work from home as well and my wife does not. We have two nannies that split shifts and both of them are female. One is a grandmother from Spain and the other is about my age from Cuba. Make the criteria solely about how well they handle the kids and there is literally nothing else to it. Just man up and have the conversation. My wife is the one that chose the ones we have and there have been no issues with trust.

It's also most certainly not cheaper than daycare.

Casually suggest how awesome a threesome would be.

Or hire the ugliest one you can find.

You’re not getting a nanny for cheaper than daycare

Why have more kids if you’re already realizing you don’t have the time?

If you're not using Chuck E. Cheese's as your kid's daycare, you're doing it wrong.

What safety issues?

Also don’t send your kid to daycare. Mine all went to Montessori school. One in kindergarten, one in pre-k 3, and my youngest still in Montessori. They do so much better by going to a school versus sitting at home all day.

It costs me about 20k per year, but well worth it in the long run.

Send your kid to daycare.

Work from home and watch nanny porn on Pornhub. It's cheaper than a divorce.

Tell her when you’re at home during the week, you’re working. Period. You’re not watching the kids. Let her figure it out. Let her hire the help.

Not sure what point you’re trying to make. Hiring someone to watch a child is more expensive than daycare. Honestly/trollingly....What differentiates a nanny from a daycare worker? At the end of the day, it sounds like the OPs solution would be an Eastern European au pair.

Our daycare is $225 per week. All employees are required to have a degree in early childhood development. They aren't daycare workers everywhere. Some actually employe people worth a crap.

You’re wife having a kid and then going back to work is setting the child up to fail. A baby needs it’s mother.
