Bought my 1st one right out of college at 21 when you could put 0% down. Sold for a nice profit at 37
bought 2nd one at 35, still live here with no intentions of moving. May do a camelback add-on in the next 3-5 years.

It's a condo in a nice location downtown on the beautiful Tennessee river, so we're planning to keep it and rent it out when we decide to move and build a house. We'll probably stay there another 4-5 years or so.
I bought a condo when I was 24 off of Pellissippi...the mortgage was $450/month (back in the early '90s). I wish I had kept it and rented it for the last 20 years or so...

I'd just turned 29 a week and a half before we closed. Still in it. Only one. It will be a rental in the fairly near future.

Bought my first house at 31, sold it and bought current house at 45.
I like my house and neighborhood so much that I have no plans of moving until retirement.
That's the plan anyway.

Bought our first about 8 months ago and I was 30 at the time. We waited a few years to find our “dream” home and don’t plan on moving anytime soon.

First house at 28. I've owned 2.

Was 29 as well. Before that I was military and rented.
Only owned this one so far. Have moved a lot in the past, the next house I buy will hopefully be the last.
I like my current house, but it's not where I want to be forever.

I was 23 when I bought my first house. Then the housing market crashed.
I sold it (finally) a few weeks ago to my tenants. Thankful to have gotten rid of it and may wait until I'm 40 to buy another one.

Haven't owned one at 33. I live in a place with what I believe to be an inflated market, and I think a crash is coming. I found a low-cost rental while I wait to move, or prey on someone's pain when reality hits.

27 - Atlanta (typical starter home 3/2)
28 - Westbank (nice 4/2.5 family home)
32 - Mid City (divorced dad special - old shotgun-double renovated to a nice 4/2 after Katrina.)
47 - Condo (I was itching to live on the water when my youngest went to college)
Sold 2, transferred one to Ex.
My parents have had 3 and each move was a huge upgrade.

Why do American houses always look like shacks built by a 10 year old.
We call them sheds over here. No wonder they turn to rubble when you get some bad weather.

Bought my first at 26, paid it off at 27. Subdivision started going to shite so I sold while values were still great. Then bought my current home at 30. Paid it off a month later. A month after that the flood hit, everyone around me and in my entire area sold their flooded homes for pennies on the dollar, and brought my value down like a fricking rock.
So much bullshite in one reply.
Bought at 22, sold at 25 and haven’t bought again.
