Or maybe, just maybe, Adam was the first man with a soul and every “man” before him was basically an animal.

I think that is exactly what happened. Man is made in God's image and at some point in the evolution of man from walking upright God decided to create from all the previous versions someone more in tune with who God really is with the ability to think in complex terms and make decisions. That is what separates us from the apes.
And more so, why else are primates still on planet Earth and why didn't they evolve with humans if this wasn't true?

Before Adam sinned, there was no death. If there was millions of years of animals dying through the evolutionary process before Adam sinned, then the central message of the Bible is without meaning.

Adam was the first man?

Wut? Evolution doesn’t imply that only one species within a certain type can exist at a time.

If eagles evolved, why do sparrows exist? It’s complete nonsense.

Evolution isn’t a linear process. Speciation happens as populations of the same group separate and gene flow ends. When enough mutations happens within the individual groups, a new core genome is established and they typically have different phenotypes. Some organisms are no longer able to reproduce.

Mutations are random, and do not necessarily lead to a gain of function. In fact, many are deleterious. Regardless, organisms are continuously evolving. It’s much more than adaptation.

You sound like Fauci. Now full disclosure, Im “christian” and was raise to believe in a 7,000 year old earth. I don't, Short story, faith in Christ and the cross isn't tied up in age if the earth. I know its much older… but to say it like you did with arrogance is dumb. 4.5 billion is a big guess as well.

Not sure why anyone, outside of a geophysicist, would have a ‘belief’ on this subject…who gives a shite?

You pretty much have to be a moron to believe the earth is 6,000 years old
it's probably closer to 5700 years but you're probably too brainwashed to understand.

If the age of earth was a year, humans have been in it for 23 minutes. Great Job so far Humans!
It has been a good job. In 5 minutes we've done more than the other 364 days, 23 hours and 55 minutes combined.

We only have guesses that range by 66% of the base number.
In math that means you don’t know shite but in geology it means you know how old the universe is through a series of assumptions

If someone gave you directions and told you to take a left 6-10 miles down the road … ?
Saying the Earth is 6-10b yrs old is lazy acceptance of junk science
No wonder Sheldon hates Geology

We didn’t evolve from the primate species that are on earth now. We just share a common ancestor with them.
