re: Very proud of the Men's Basketball Team with a SEC Road Win. This will be the Spark!
Posted by TomHagen on 1/31/26 at 3:44 pm to UncleLester
Not to mention, being proud of this win proves that we need a change. It took overtime to beat the worst team in the league. That wasnt a home court advantage, nobody was there. Even if it was, you are supposed to beat the worst team in the league at their place. Its like being proud LSU beat MsST in football in Starkville… I mean Im glad but proud?

This is not debatable. LSU is not making the big tourney this year and wont be a perennial participant without a better program, which means money and coach. So simple. McMahon seems to be a great guy… he is probably a good coach, but he isn't a fit here. There is enough time to show that. If you bring in a coach like LK, that people believe in and get excited about… thats when you start making it rain for NIL in basketball.
re: Indiana WR Omar Cooper says that 2025 Indiana would beat 2019 LSU 24-21
Posted by TomHagen on 1/18/26 at 12:25 am to The Pirate King
They may could have, we will never know of course. But that 2019 team is still special today… lets think of the list of the NFL guys from that team… not even regular players… if they (Indy guys) are wrecking the league even half as much 5 years from now, then a conversation could be had for sure.
Why does everyone insist on this? Dude was fun. That Vandy game with Alleva getting booed for suspending him was an awesome experience and it was a huge start to the Alleva exit, which helped us get here. He is great for LSU. Talked to much about what he did, but he has paid his dues more than the Blue Bloods. Make LSU fun again, look what Kiffin has done. Wade would be the same.
re: Happy for Austin Thomas and Coach Frank Wilson. Two Forever Tigers that had success today.
Posted by TomHagen on 1/2/26 at 8:40 am to UncleLester
Frank… yes… Austin? Dude is not LSU loyal, he is best job loyal. He isn't a “lifer” dude is from Tenn? So let’s stop with the Austin Thomas love, good at what he does, but not a “Tiger”.

So good. Was that the Jordan Jefferson game, when Dooley was absolutely pissed and we all knew the refs screwed up?

This is cool. Thanks for posting. For me, Coach Les was a guy I loved and hated at the same time… basically the entire time he was here. But other than year 2 O and First Bama game Kelly, I've missed him. Especially with Kelly, if you're gonna be horrible at least don't be a jackass. Have some personality. Kiffin is the first coach Im excited about from day 1. Ive rambled, but the point is, it’s time for LSU to welcome him back. The co-ed stuff I get, but if you're gonna nail him on that…. most all of them have to go.

No, left, love La, love BR for what they are to me, but it was time.
re: I didn't realize how annoying Tulane fans were...

Tulane sucks bc of NO. Period. And I love our state, but the fact is, they have a great place and just crap on it, in it and on everyone who visits it. Shame.
So I see a lot about Coach Wilson on this board and most isnt positive. I feel like someone needs to acknowledge, this is a good guy. Ive met Frank, talked for a while, the man is a good dude. Im not saying he is perfect or needs to stay etc, but to bash a man over rumors is stupid. Whatever happens, Frank is a good personand LSU will be lucky to have him. LSU can also survive without him. Whatever he decides, Im thankful for him and will always pull for his success.
Finally, I think we can trust LSU leadership…
Posted by TomHagen on 11/30/25 at 6:56 pm
For years, there was at least one and many time multiple pompous fools running the show… we hit on some good coaches, Mulkey, JJ, Clark etc…but football and basketball particularly have been extremely frustrating to watch (2019 excepted of course and thank God for the greatest season ever). But this search shows, me at least, that the people in charge right now get it. Verge isn't perfect, but he gets it. Lane may flame and burn (doubt that, I think we are a lock program for 2 decades now), but these guys in leadership went out and got the best guy possible at this time. And they did it with an attention whore governor pissing in the wind. Im excited. Im looking forward to the days ahead to see what this program can become again and maybe even exceed that.
Dad, its all good…
Posted by TomHagen on 11/30/25 at 4:11 pm
In 2024 at the Ole Miss game, a OM frat guy was on the west side cussing all LSU fans out. I went to that game with 11 family members bc we had my dads (the biggest LSU fan) funeral that weekend. It was so cool, Lacy caught that ball right where we sprinkled the ashes… yes we sprinkled dad’s ashes on the field, well some of them. I probably would have gotten my butt kicked, but my wife asked me to calm down, so I sat quiet and moved on. Dad- we got a good coach! Frat bum you can melt fool. Anyway, this has been a phenomenal time for me. I needed this board in so many ways that I don't need to get in to, but thanks everyone. What a great place. Peace, and dad…. I think the Tigers are about to go crazy.
The Tigers made the right hire, for the first time in my life since Saban. Will he be successful, I think he is gonna kill it. But the point is, regardless, the staff and Verge did right by LSU. The next step is Wade… if Sankey will back down on blackballing him from the SEC.
Bruh… this got me

And to u sir.
If you feel disheartened, maybe go for a jog… ramp up some endorphins.
I never said a time other than this weekend. The people that are directly involved are the source. I also never said signed. At any rate, cheers.

Im good being a cast away, just hope he keeps his word. The press conferences alone would be glorious.
You can see the field from the head coaches office.
There is a high school field on campus. Thats what I meant.

No deal is done. Thats foolishness. That said, LSU is the leader as of now. OM is out. Looks like LSU, but again, Nothing is signed. Obviously. I will say, the opportunity to see his son play on campus is a factor. Fingers crossed.
Update: Announcement imminent. As soon as today, by Sat.
Update 2: It’s fluid, of course. Chill, breathe, work. The LSU people think LK is in. I guess they thought the same about Herman and Miles to Michigan… but hold, LK is the guy until he says he isnt and he has said the opposite.
Chill yall. He coming. Everyone at LSU thought it was official this past weekend but he is trying to stand by his guys now… which is a good thing. LK is the coach, relax. I was wrong on the time of release etc etc, so was all of LSU. Relax.

re: My understanding of where things are…
Posted by TomHagen on 11/18/25 at 12:10 pm to The Blue Stuff
Did he take that opportunity on national media to confirm he is staying? No. He is trying to do things the right way, have a chance to coach a team he cares about in the playoffs. This interview didn't “confirm” anything except that leaving is a possibility. Again, that ship has sailed, OM has the smallest chance of the 3 schools to have him as coach next year. LSU is in the lead now, for whatever the heck thats worth. Could be that RB featured will be a Tiger too… so chill bro. None of us including the BOS and Verge know what he is going to do. But we all know, he could have shut it down there and he didnt, his family didnt need to visit BR but they did and his son plays HS football with a school field on LSU campus. There is a good chance he is the coach next year. No guarantees, thats arrogant and guessing, but LSU is on the guys mind. And people he respects (saban and O) want him here.

I 100% agree. But thats just where things are as of yesterday evening. I dont post much, mostly lurk and laugh. Not a big poster anywhere, just passing along info I trust, and yeah its not “HE IS COMING” bc only Lane probably knows the truth there.

I said this… meaning, heard it but didnt trust it. They did in fact come in yesterday and it was in fact positive. Im not trying to be some “insider” just passing along and trying to be practical.
“Heard this too, don't understand it, but thats the word… purposeful misinformation?”
“Heard this too, don't understand it, but thats the word… purposeful misinformation?”
Not some special insider, not a troll. Not making some bold claim, just passing along info. Regular BR guy like most of yall and just putting out status as I understand it. Havent said he is coming, just that we have a shot and showed well.
My understanding of where things are…

Yesterday was very positive. Obviously numbers have been presented. OM is pretty much out. Kiffin and his family have a decision to make. LSU showed well. If it’s official as some have said, I don't know that. There are factors which help, but not naming them here so as not to taint the process (we know everyone involved or reporting is likely reading this board). Again as of now things are positive for LSU and thats the best we can ask for at this stage (assuming you want Kiffin, which I do).
re: Kiffin and LSU getting into deeper discussions

Personally dont know specific contract details. That said he or a rep will be in BR today. It’s between Florida and LSU with LSU having the lead right now.
Correct. OM is out, its LSU or Florida.
