re: How old are you Sob’s now vs your first post and who got you posting?

My friend MJ2 (BAN-RIP), but it was probably Hot Carl and SFP's stupidity that brought me out of lurking...at 35.

I was searching for a recipe and found the food & drink board. Ventured over to the OT (had been posting on a national message board for years) and was fascinated that things that had been around forever people thought originated on the OT. (Germans is one example) I stayed for the constant flowing butthurt (RIP thunderdomes).

I was old when I started posting and it has been 13 years.

I'm 60 now, found this place by accident when looking for LSU football tickets, can't recall exactly when that was, between 2005 & 2009. Lurked for a while and finally signed up in 2010 when someone had tix I was interested in.

Been sharing my extremely bad takes ever since

Looks like yesterday was my 13th anniversary here. Scary.

I was 18. I’m 31 now.

My late baw Michael Naquin introduced me to this site. Always joke that was the biggest mistake he ever made.

I was on all kinds of Auburn message boards for years under different made up names.

But I got bored with the time “in an echo chamber” and wanted some diversity of thought.

I figured that an LSU message board would be a good place to start since I have loved every LSU fan I have ever met in real life. It’s my favorite road trip and although I love to give them grief - they are one of the biggest reasons for the SEC’s success.

I happened upon the rant in 2010 (during all the Cam Newton lies) and did not register because I knew I would just get bashed and made fun of.

Then after a few years of lurking (I can be slow) - I realized that every poster on here is being made fun of all the time.

May as well join the fun.

Almost 15k posts later - and most of you don’t even know I post here. My wife knows and says - every time you are looking at your phone and laughing, you are on that LSU message board.

Signed up at 27 and am 43 now. Worked overnights and had a ton of free time, so would mostly post all night.

That British guy Scott Rogers was in the news. The one with the public access morning show. It was such a bizarre story that i googled Scott Rogers. There was an OT thread about it and if i remember correctly, some guy started posting and claimed to be one of Rogers’ victims/“adoptees” or something, and I was hooked ever since. ETA was mid-30s, now 43.
