re: How often do you sit and watch the world go by?

Coffee on the back porch most mornings and cocktails on the front porch most evenings. The sacred coffee hour and the sacred cocktail hour.

That does sound relaxing as hell.

During the fall I find that there’s nothing better than to start a fire in my fire pit outside, pour a bourbon and just was the flames dance around.

The Bible does too. It does work well if you get it right.

Every night I like to sit on the back porch with a glass of bourbon and watch the sun go down. Damn mosquitoes are obnoxious but its an evening ritual. Weekend mornings are peak relaxation for me watching the sun come up with coffee. Just pure bliss and quiet until the wife gets up.

To sit and watch the world go by without looking at anything is meditation.

Reminds me growing up in Lake Charles and riding our bikes after dinner up and down the streets and all the adults and olds would be in lawn chairs or swings in their yards waving to us.

Simpler times

Just spent an hour watching the leaves twitch and enjoying the 50 degree weather. Summer sucks.
