I really haven't kept track. I guess my brother and I see each other on average once every two months. Text and email more often. He's got 5 kids all grown up and I see them on a rotational basis more often including email and text.

Do you call your nieces and nephews on their birthdays and send gifts?
My wife sends them (hers and mine) cards and cash for Christmas and birthdays. They usually call to thank her.
If she croaks, I won’t even know when their birthdays are. I like them fine and love seeing them in person, but I’m just not good about cards, birthdays, etc. And I dislike talking on the phone to anyone other than my mother, who I talk to every 2 or 3 weeks.

I saw my bro 3-4X per week for the last decade. He just moved back to the Midwest a few weeks ago. Thanks, you fricking maggot.

I talk to my sister and parents everyday on my way to work. They are in India. I see them usually once a year but covid messed it up

Pre-pandemic I saw them a couple times a year. Brother is single, no kids, and usually stays with us a week or so over Christmas.
Sister is married, no kids, and I only see her when I make the effort.
Talk to brother once a week. He’s weird and hates texting. Text with my sister all the time. Not every day, but pretty close.

Probably once a week on average. More during hunting season.
Text my brother every couple of days. My sister likes to chat chit with my wife every few days.
Stepbrother that lives in Longview, maybe 4-5 times a year.
Eta - this thread is shocking to me how little yall communicate. My family bitches that we don't spend enough time together

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Sorry to pry! I thought maybe I was misunderstanding.

We all text and call a lot.

I don't have nieces/nephews, but same. I'm actually what I'd consider close with my immediate family (mom, dad, brother) but I don't specifically talk to dad/brother much. I Facebook message with mom all day about pretty much every mundane thought that goes through my brain. We are chatting now.
She relays that to dad, so same same.

My parents, older sister, and oldest sister live 5, 7, and 8 blocks away from me, respectively. See them at least once every other week or so.
We’ve all spent time living in other states/across the country, but coalesced into the same area. Not our home town.
My younger sister is a couple hours away but I see her probably every other month on average.

Once a month at least. I love my siblings and in laws . As far as I can tell, they love me back.
Sometimes life gets in the way of frequent visits, but I try to make it home once a month and always make the rounds to see parents, brother, sister and their families. My family life is one of the greatest blessings I have. Love them folks!

As a father of 5, this thread is depressing as hell. It would tear me up if my kids don’t see each other much once they are grown.

I don’t speak to my sibling.
This is all the family I have.

Nooo, don't feel that way! People can still be close without seeing each other often.
It is very difficult to balance friendships, kids, romantic relationships, family, a career, lazy time on the sofa, errands/housework, etc.
Your family is always there, so they tend to get the lesser end since you know they're always there.

My sister and I hated each other growing up. Sixteen months apart will do that. I absolutely love her husband. We see them three or four times a year. My wife’s brother was a fraternity brother of mine. Love him. We see them about the same. Much rather deal with either than my in laws or my parents.

My only brother passed away 3yrs ago. I miss him terribly. We did not have a lot in common but still spoke once or twice a week. His last two years we saw each other a lot. When he was in the hospital here I’d go by every day. If he was home we’d go almost every week. He was sick for almost 3 years and the last year was really bad.
I see or text my niece and nephew at least once every other week. I do my best to spoil the crap out of them. My nephew is in his 2nd year in college and my niece is a junior in HS.

Sadly I cant relate at all to my siblings. Multiple contacts a week with the parents. Very close. Wish it was different with sibs. I maintain friendly relations with them but our mindsets are worlds apart.
The one in town I see about 6-7 times a year. The others out of town about once a year (not this year obviously)
