I'm of scottish descent, but always felt "coonass" was a way of life or set of traits more than French lineage.
That being said, I've cleaned deer in the bathtub of a hotel (not a Motel, a Hotel), have shot ducks less than 200 yards from my back door for Christmas dinner, and once ate a chili that I later found out had a hawk and an owl in it. my current truck has 354,000 miles on it (original engine, rebuilt trans).
I think that rates a solid 7 on the coonass scale.

Solid 8 here.
I have family buried on the hill near Robinson Canal on the way to Cocodrie. Not a 10 since i don't own a skiff with skimmers.

Three of the four names can trace lineage to nova Scotia or st. Domingue.
I speak acadian french, french from marseille, and can understand Haitian patois fairly well.
While I'm 6ft, the average height of my family is about 4 inches shorter. A foot shorter for the women.
One of the biggest things that bothers me about my wife is that while she grew up in raceland, education and travel have made her accent disappear.
Idk, I give myself a 4. I have worn LSU gear in russia, singapore, and dubai, so maybe I'm an 8.

Born and raised in Cut Off. At one time I was probably around a 7, but living in North LA for 7 years probably brought that down to a 4.
Lost most of the accent, but can still drink and cook with the best of them.

I'm short , stocky, and have dark skin. I have a slight accent and live south of I-10. 3 of my grandparents have cajun last names. They speak french
I'm college educated as are my parents and aunts and uncles. So I'm probably an 8.5

I'll say an 8. Grandparents from Golden Meadow. Cajun French was their first language. Parents grew up in Galliano and I grew up in Cut Off. I understand more French than i can speak although my grandpa did teach me to curse pretty fluently in French.

I'm not exactly sure, but I read the title as "How much of a coon arse are you - scale of I-10?“ so that has to count for something.
