As quality meat continues escalating, I can see cost-cutting measures from most fast food outlets -- like lowering prices a tad and going purely to synthetic meat.
Profit margins will actually rise. Most people who already routinely frequent those joints won't be put off in any case because Mickey D's and Burger King are and have always been their "kitchen." Their taste-buds already been altered.

as long as fast food inflation isn’t outpacing overall inflation, they will be just fine.
But it is. By a pretty good margin

I love how every fast food thread on here the OP always states “I don’t eat it that often”
It’s ok. You’re fat. We don’t judge

I can get a lunch with a beer at my local Mexican dive that's cheaper than fast food. Fast food isn't even an option I think about anymore.

This is actually a bigger problem for medium priced sit down family restaurants. If prices get too high, no fast food restaurants will have dine in. It will be all takeout. My wife and I are both physicians and we share 2 drinks for our family of 5 (and the only reason we have a 2nd drink is bc my wife drinks Diet Coke and no one else wants that garbage)

The dollar menu ain’t a dollar anymore.

Are we sure they aren’t doing this already? Certainly they are already using heme as a filler. Disgusting.

There’s a taco truck by my work that has three Mexican street tacos for $5. Best lunch deal going. Mexican is the new fast food.

fatties and poor people will keep them in business.
“just put it on the credit card!”

They will continue putting more and more robots in, and for some reason poor people refuse to understand that fast food is more expensive than eating at home, and 500 times as shitty if a person is an average home chef.

Been using synthetic meat (textured vegetable protein) since the seventies, should be more concerned with the AI meat on the horizon, but at least you’ll get extra chicken fingers.

Culver's gotta be the best fast food value in America.

Prior to Covid we’d eat out 5-10 x’s a month and now it’s more like 1-2 x’s a month. Family of 5 at a sit down restaurant with one adult beverage is $150 or more.

They’ve been known to roll and smoke one too.

Can't think of a situation I'd ever eat burger king or really any fast food outside of Chick Fil A and Canes.

Addiction is a real thing. When people finally get enough of being slaves, then things will get better.

Three strips, small fruit and iced water at chic fil a is under $10. Best I can do with fast food choice wise.

but if you own any type of fast-food establishment you have to be nervous going forward.
Computer kiosks and robots to make food are the future of that industry.
Just a couple of humans to fillup the robot machine with buns and pattys.
Someone to cleanup the dining room, but that may go away too. I could see it just being drive through only someday.

It’s barely more expensive to eat at longhorn than five guys. Barely.

It ain’t going away as long as humans exist.
