Evidently the planner takes care of all the details: picks a theme, contacted a food caterer, found a bakery to make the cake, secured the band, provided attendants for the adult bar and those type of things. She also sets everything up and takes everything down. Seems like too much for a young child’s party, that’s why I was asking.
This is insane....your wife doesn't know what theme he wants?? Half this shite is accomplished by Google. Not that everyone has to do it this way, but we got all on theme decorations off Amazon, I smoked a pork shoulder and got sides, adult bar was an ice chest and 2 bottles of wine open, brookshires sheet cake (they can icing print anything)
An amazing on theme party for probably under 2-300 with every thing considered, everyone had a great time including all the kids.
Just tell us what your wife's tiktok handle is sp you can promote this shite show and she can pretend to be an influencer with your thousands

I’m on the way to my 4 year old’s birthday party right now.
It’s at Johnny’s pizza with a few kids from her class and family. We might spend $200 on it.
There is no world where I’m spending much more than that.
She’s four and there’s going to be pizza she’ll love it.

My 4 year old bday party consisted of Pizza Hut, bday cake, and an above ground pool.
Sounds like a good bday party for any age. I remember when Pizza Hut sold beer.

I used to fight with my wife about vaporizing money for parties nobody remembers. Nevertheless, she keeps planning parties. I decided to invest in a new poster for each birthday. I think my approach is better. He can sell the posters and pay for a couple semesters of college if he chooses...But, I guess his b'day party pics will last a lifetime.

When he turned 5 we rented his gymnastics gym for 2.5 hours and they took care of everything for $270. We just has to bring food.
We did this last year for roughly the same price at Tumbles in BR. She had so much fun we are doing it again this year

Food: place a catering order with little Caesar’s or chick fil a

That’ll be $50
A chick fil chicken nugget tray to feed 15 people costs $62.50 before taxes. So if you are going to feed 15 people nothing but chick fil a chicken nuggets at your house you are starting your party at about $66. Buy a cake from a grocery store, some paper plates and forks, and you are at $100 and so far you have:
1. Chicken nuggets
2. Cake
3. Paper plates
4. 15 people guest list
I know people don’t think math be like it do, but it is.

It was great. Especially because all the parents got to jump use the gym to. It was fun and super convenient. I'd definitely do it again.

You have a band at your 4 year olds party?!

Lmao party planner?
Just have it at Chuck E Cheese or somewhere like it. It’ll cost you $300 and they do it all for you. The kid is 4. They are not going to grow up and hate you for not having a pony and ice sculpture at their party. They don’t care.

Either your wife makes 6 figures, she can suck a golf ball through a garden hose or you’re a cuckoid (you might not know you are)

You got a wife problem, not a party problem.
Exactly this. I don't think my parents spent 4 figures on all my birthday parties from age 1-17 and I can't remember ever being disappointed on any birthday I had.
A few friends and family, a cake and ice cream and some gift wrapped presents.
OP, look at it this way, if your child is a little girl and the wife is willing to write a 4 figure check for a kids birthday party, think how much that wedding is going to cost......................
Now, try to get a good night's sleep with that thought in your head.

We built a pool in 2019 right before Covid. Both my kids have just wanted friends to come over and swim for their parties for the last 5 years
I get them Little Caesars and a cake from HEB
$10-15 worth of decorations at the dollar store and we are usually out $55-60 all in.
