2 at the most. It's a dull ache for a couple days. It's less painful than getting a cavity filled in a tooth.
As far as your employer is concerned, you had dick surgery and that is serious. You need at least a week to recover.
I recommend a cool fall week with football.

Did mine over forty-five years ago. No problem. Kept an Ice Bag on it a few hours.
