How many people are going to lose their jobs over this potential economic collapse?

If businesses grind to a halt and production stops because of panic? How much does this end up affecting everyone?

Too many. Like I said in another thread, it’s highly likely that the damage caused by the ridiculous panic is going to do much more harm than the actual virus.

My immediate boss asked me earlier how many people at our office had a company laptop. My company is clearly having the discussion, but we're global fortune 500. There isn't a chance in hell that we "close"

I see the point you're trying to make, but there is a slight difference between people let go due to a pandemic and leeches that weren't ever paying in in the first place.

I'm not just talking about the immediate impact of people not traveling/not eating out. I mean what is the ripple effect. The stock market is tanking. How much longer until that dries up work/income from even those that can work from home?

I think it's more likely that precautions being taken now will slow things down. Then people can come back, ignore the effect the precautions made, and say everything was overblown.

Depends on how long the panic goes on. If over the next month or so cases here are not exploding and there aren't a lot of deaths, I think things may start to get back to normal and businesses will ramp up. I agree that an extended crisis will get ugly.
When this passes (and it will) and the carnage is tallied up, I predict that we will have US deaths in the low four figures at most. People are going to look back and be embarrassed about all this hysteria. Yes, reasonable precautions are warranted, and I agree with cancelling the big gatherings. But this is no reason to shut the country down.
