Pretty sure one of the escaped Nola inmates were wearing pants with that teeth design when he was caught.

I'm pretty sure I had that same exact backpack in the 80s/90s. My freshman year I bought one of the yellow canvas "LSU" backpacks from the bookstore (when it was still in the union). It was falling apart by the end of the year. I bought the L.L. Bean bookbag the following year and used it throughout my college and grad school years. I gave it to a friend’s little brother after that. My guess is it’s still in use.

What do they need a backpack for at all? My poor daughter has one that weighs about 350 pounds....I think she is smuggling concrete blocks into the contractor building the addition at her high school. Every summer I clean it out and take it to goodwill and all that is in it is wadded up paper and maybe 3-4 packs of peanut butter crackers. She is an honor roll student (not exactly a high bar in a public school but still) so it ain't like she ain't at least meeting the schools expectations. She may be getting extra credit for working as block masons apprentice for all I know...whatever it is when she gets out of the truck in the morning that damned backpack sounds like it weighs a ton as she drags it out of the floor....
Yes, all of the kids will have bad backs in their twenties because the school won't let them have lockers and they have to drag 100lbs around everyday.

I posted photos of them on the first page. They're the popular backpack with black kids right now. They have a "secret stash pocket" hidden inside for vape pens and weed.
The middle school where I teach is about 50/50 race demographics. These backpacks were all over the place among the black students last year. I didn’t notice a single white kid with one.

Do they have clear or mesh line?
I think some of the schools around the bayou area are going back to mesh or clear back packs again.
Gee that is what we need a backpack with holes in them to carry a laptop and expensive books in.
I remember back in the 1990's, Lafourche Parish schools went to Mesh back packs. I remember some of the teachers making fun of some of the students that would sleep in class on their backpacks. Some students would fall asleep face down on the desk with their back packs and wake up with a mesh imprint on their face.

Strange enough, I just saw an LL Bean backpack commercial. What's funny is that the commercial focused on parents from the 90's and the fact that it was a great brand, and it's still relevant. Honestly, the designs haven't changed much, still look sharp.

My Swissgear backpack has been to 7 countries and about 30 states 16 years later it has no holes, rips or tears. It still looks like new.

North face was the big thing when my kids were in school.
That’s what I had my junior year in high school. I can’t even remember what I had before that. I still have that north face bag, and use it occasionally. It’s held up well to the abuse of 25+ years.
