I don't think kids use the lockers anymore. My kids have 50lb packs and they looked at me like Im just an out of touch old man when I asked them about the lockers.

So THAT'S what those ugly arse things are called. Lots of football players at LSU Lab have them. My daughter had no idea what they were, other than ugly backpacks.

Is Jansport still around?

A couple of years back I was doing physical therapy for a bulging disc. Each week they had a question they would ask you, and on their whiteboard they kept a tally. One week it was what do you call the bag you carried books in. They were looking for backpack or bookbag. I hadn't noticed the question but my guy asked me for my answer, and when he said what did you carry your books in when you were in school, and I answered a JanSport. I know, CSB.

spray ground backpacks

These bags are infamous with having hidden pockets for vapes and drugs. They even have card that congratulates you for finding the hidden stash pocket.

My Jansport from the 90s was made in USA and has a real leather bottom. Perfect condition. I carried it in high school, college, and multiple hikes. My kids’ Jansports were not USA made and lasted a year tops.

My grandson asked for and got a camo backpack.

The number of dad jokes he will get when he can't find it may make him ask for a new one soon

our schools have lines of lockers. They aren’t issued. I don’t get it. Kids all lugging around 45 lb packs.

I posted photos of them on the first page. They're the popular backpack with black kids right now. They have a "secret stash pocket" hidden inside for vape pens and weed.

Looks like they market to an urban clientele.
