I did at 52. What's your point?

I’m about to start looking after taking eight months off after both parents passed away and dealing with that. I’m almost 55.
Having a hard time getting motivated which has not been much an issue for me in the past.

Is it normal to have a panic attack in the bathroom at a new job because you’re overwhelmed with the change?
Yeah, I did and I’m only 30. This isn’t the old days. Most of us HAVE to take new jobs to get our worth.

I did at 53. New place is great. Solid income, remote, and a ton of vacation and low stress. After owning my own business for 12 years this is like a vacation.

I’m hoping to be semi retired by 50 or at least working for myself

I retired from the Army at 49 and started back into the work force. It's different for sure, but waaaayyyyyyy easier. Way less bullshittery.

All the fryers work the same, don't stress too much about it.

I started my current job at 50. I've been here for 13 years and still love it.

At 50 new job, retired from there last year at 62. It was a paycheck (a good one) but the people made all the difference.

I did. Got laid off from a very large company. It was difficult finding a new job for age reasons. Most of the folks who work in Tech are younger -- and less expensive. Fortunately, my network came though. I took a pay cut, but quickly got back to where I was previously.

Hired in June of 2020 at 56. How lucky was I? Best job I have ever had. If only everyone was working remote again. I really enjoyed being one of only two people working in the office at the time.

Retired and now work for myself.

I was 46 when I resigned as a partner in a Lafayette law firm and took a job in-house in Dallas.

I started a new job when I was 64. I've been in the electrical supply industry 40 years. I was in transportation industry for 10 years. I will say this, there will be a demand for electrical engineers soon. Louisiana is preparing to build an AI plant in Louisiana. From what I heard from a reliable source in the electrial utility industry, it will be the size of Manhattan. Also you can attend ITI Technical College and receive an Assoc. Degree and get a good paying job after 2 years. Electrical, Medical, etc. I've read Trump wants to start funding more of these types of schools. I've had so many calls from my fellow classmates over the years looking for jobs for their kids with bum degrees, I can see now why Trump wants to invest in these type of schools. I was lucky to get in the electrical industry, started at the bottome and worked my way up. I've had experience in residental, commercial, and industrial markets. I just retired last year and worked till I was 67. I've received calls from people I've associated with over the years with my experience wanting to know if I wanted to come back. It's good field.
