This isn’t about rights vs privileges. It’s about calling out blatant lies by the left that instill more racial divide in this nation, as well as questioning the integrity of our elections. If a privilege such as flying requires providing an ID to verify who you are in order to participate, then why aren’t elections even more important? An illegitimate vote is an affront to democracy, and a violation of every legitimate voter’s rights.

I don’t have Real ID yet because of having a Military ID card.

The only leg they have to stand on is that back in the day, in the south, many black babies were born at home or some shite. Hence, they were not issued birth certificates. So, it a problem for them to get an ID. Most are probably deceased by now but theres likely some still around.
So, let’s say theres 1000 still alive. Id think a simple interview with a state rep you could figure out if an old black guy was born here. Err on the side of caution and at worst you issue 2000 new IDs without a birth certificate. At worst you end up giving out 1000 IDs, spread over multiple states, to some Jamaican guys who have been here for like 80 years. Bam its no longer racism. Nationwide voter ID.
For all I know the above reason is complete BS and lots of whites were born without birth certificates too but it’s the only semi reasonable explanation I’ve ever heard.

Don't have it. I have a passport and a TWIC. I'll get a real ID in a few years when I have to renew my license

Mine is, but I had no idea until a few weeks ago when I noticed all the hand wringing. Apparently I gave em all they wanted 8 years ago.

I got a new id a few years ago. It came with a real ID. I don’t understand how people don’t have one unless they never renew a license.

When I renewed last year, they told me I needed two proofs of residency and my birth certificate with me to get a Real ID. So I just opted for a regular license renewal.

Don't have one, renewed my license thru the mail. I have a passport so why do I need to go to the DMV and waste money on one ?
