The thread is about your work, not your gender.

I run my own business. While most days I am out running errands or on job sites, those few days a month when I'm home work just sitting on my couch with my computer in my lap and it's mid morning with the windows open....it's bliss.

That’s a strange attempt at a joke.

I’ve never had a job where I got to sit down.

I go in every other Wednesday. Because that's the day our cleaning lady is here, and it's weird being home when someone is cleaning your house.

I also go in for any special meetings that require me to be in person. Other than that, I'm at home.

And I'm OK with it.

I blame working in offices on people wanting it to be so cold in their house.

People get used to being in a cold arse office all day so that's what they end up keeping their house on.

Definitely happy about spending a few grand to upgrade my WFH/Office setup.

^^This was a question I had. Did the WFH people have to upgrade their home in order to accommodate the work load? i.e. Scanner/highest speed internet/PC/Laptop, etc?
And did the company pay the bill OR did the worker have to pay?

3/2, sometimes 4/1. Try to work from home every Friday.

We reimbursed office setup up to $500 in 2020 and have since made it an annual expense option.

I got lucky. My neighbor's company decided to completely close down their offices and upgraded all of their equipment. They told them to keep the old stuff. So the neighbor gave me her two big arse monitors since she was getting new ones.

I then upgraded my bandwidth, but since U-Verse was running some kind of special, I got more bandwidth and my bill dropped by $7 a month.

I think you could always write that off on your taxes but I don't know if it would matter if you didn't itemize deductions.

I got a 2nd docking station from work but that was about it. I've always worked from home some so I didn't really need anything additional. My office at my house was already nicer than my one at work.

Seems like a lot of companies are making people go back and sit in their offices.

My company isn't making me go back and sit in an office, but I still sit in a chair at my house. I didn't go from IT work in an office to being a barber or anything.

This guy. Never did WFH during the pandemic - butt in seat every day. (Well, not EVERY day....)

Never missed a day here. Not sure if corporate offices are back. We had all kinds of rules it the higher up’s didn’t push it at the field level because we actually pay the bills
