I let my wife go see Barbie this weekend and she took away my Switch before she left to go to her boyfriend's house because I didn't clean up my pizza rolls

That's right about the point where the ken's "take over" aka fill bog standard male gender roles and the mom has a 3rd wave feminism rant on how men don't face adversity and it's only women who face problems in the real world.

Everything I am seeing in reviews on this movie is that is does nothing but pit women against men, and make men and the “patriarchy” the evil of all evils. There’s also some trans indoctrination as well to contend with. Curious if this any of this might dissuade anyone from having that pumped into their kids heads, or is it all just harmless entertainment in the end?
Lol god you are a bitch.

Yeah it's hilarious that parents all over the country are damning their kids to a life of depression and suicide

To be fair, if I had daughters, they wouldn't touch this propagandist hateful piece of shite until they're 18 and can make legal, adult judgements.
It's one of the most hateful films i've seen all year.
Barbieland was run as a dictatorship that it actively mocked in its theme, treating Kens as second-class citizens that they threw to the wayside of their utopia and never gave any meaningful relationships or roles to - they were designed to just stay on the beach and vie for attention of the Barbies, never discouraged from fighting each other. Ken leaves Barbieland, learns of patriarchy, comes back, and develops Kendom/land by explaining to everyone what he discovered in the real word, and then both Barbies and Kens are content, the Kens become cultured and no longer squabble over Barbies, and the Barbies enjoy their lives as domestic partners with their Kens.
And the solution that the rebel Barbies come up with to fix everything is to become, ostensibly, the CIA, then rig the election by rebrainwashing the barbies that they're actually not happy, have the Kens engage in a civil war, and then have them go back to implicitly being subservient human beings.
Ken did nothing wrong. They tried so hard to make him the archetype of "Nice Guy neckbeard" that they never stopped to figure out the ethics of the means they were having Barbie go to in order restore her utopia.
