386,000 on a 1996 Chevy Z71 truck (still has fantastic motor oil pressure). Ex-wife in residence drives it 35 miles to work every work day.
I had a 1991 Chevy Lumina that had 419,000 miles when the transmission went out (the motor still ran great, with very little oil usage and the car had never had any major work done). They blew the car up while filming "Battle L.A." in Shreveport. The car was mentioned on the "Click and Clack" car radio show.
On the other hand, I have a 1944 Ford Jeep that has less than 100,000 miles.

i dont buy new any more, its a total rip off the money they want today.
most vehicles on average are driven 10k miles a year so a 10-12 yr old vehicles has 100-120k miles on it.
i buy 10-12 yr old vehicles with 100-120k miles on it and i know i have another 10 yrs and 100k miles left to drive it with no worries. now i go in knowing i need to do full service maint on everything and replace brakes and tires and maybe a front end part or two but instead of paying $60k for that truck im buying it for $8k-$10k
i just bought an 04 silverado with 119k miles for $5k and thats gonna last me to 2030 barring me getting in a wreck.
