With retail business dying out and online shopping is much easier for the typical lazy American. How long do you think it will be until the Mall of Louisiana ends up like Cortana.
Run down, vacant retail spaces, bad crowds
It will happen eventually

Last time I went circa 2010 it was a bunch of Aloha Snackbars there so I would say it’s equally as bad if not worse.

I don't think we need two Amazon hubs so close to one another.

Malls in general are struggling but the real reason for the decline in Cortana was two-fold. A new mall opened up in a better part of town was the first reason. Since there was a precedent with Bon Marche folding awhile after Cortana opened that seemed like a foregone conclusion. The second was the area around Cortana and Florida Blvd, which was once a great area turned slightly worse. The bluebonnet area is still fine and people still need malls and there is no new mall yet so I would say the mall will be fine for the time being.

Go sit in the food court for 30 minutes. You wouldn't be able to tell what country you are in.

Well, the problems that plagued cortana have migrated over to the mall of Louisiana. It was apparent shortly after it was built that this would be a problem. But now it’s become so bad that it’s fate is likely sealed. The problems have also made their way to juban crossing. However, juban crossing is an outdoor mall. Should stop a lot of the loitering.

I know the guy that owns the smoothie king in food court and he can't wait to get out of his lease. He says it's losing money and the mall isn't bringing in good crowds being mostly jewelry, sneaker, and sports jersey stores

Clearly they have not been there in a while. While it might not be as lucrative as it once was, The Mall of LA does not appear to be in decline at all.

Sounds like a Chris Rock routine.
“Ain’t nothin in the black mall but sneakers and baby clothes!”

You could really tell when the decline started when the kiosks in the middle of the floor started popping up with MF'ers approaching you trying to sell you their crap. 15 cell phone case kiosks, sunglass kiosks, massage kiosks and what appears to be MLM type products.

The snackbars at least won’t bother anyone. Unless they’re blowing the place up.

Is the Mall in BR or StG? That’ll determine the answer.

I’d be more concerned about the insta-whores than the vendors.
One of them had a meet and greet one night that turned into a stampede when someone knocked over a chair in the food court and everyone thought it was a gunshot.

Interior of the mall is in BR. Some or all of the anchors are in StG.

Its location will protect it for a while.
