At some point EBR is going to have to sell it back to St. George to pay its bills.

The Pretzel Twister there makes the best pretzels

Mall of La has been terrible for a while now
No it hasn't. I go maybe once per month (my kid really likes pretzels) and it's the same it has been for a few years. Never have any issues and some stores closed shop that I never really shopped at anyway. Only thing bad about the mall are the kiosks in the middle.

In a related question, how is Main Event doing so far? Anybody been yet?

I though so to until I went to the Aventura Mall north of Miami last week. Place was slam packed on a Wednesday night. Exotic cars everywhere. Women, lawd have mercy.
That's a great mall. Valley Fair, South Coast Plaza, Oak brook, Roosevelt Field are some other super nice malls.

I worked in 2 different stores in the late 90's there.. It's a shadow of what it used to be.. Nothing but garbage shoe stores and people pushing weird creams..

One of the stranger phenomenon on this board are the biannual threads where people feel the need to indulge themselves by grossly exaggerating the depreciation of the MoL.
For some people on this board if they go to the mall and see more than two black people it means the mall is dead. With such a low bar it's easy to continually pronounce it's death.

They have a Chick-fil-A baw. I work right around there and like to get out of the office and walk around a bit at lunch. When it's 95 degrees or raining I'd prefer this to be inside.

Now that Main Event is there, it’s only a matter of time before random gun battles ensue between the usual suspects celebrating 40 person deep, birfday parties.

Interior of the mall is in BR. Some or all of the anchors are in StG.
According to the map on St. George's website all of it is in Baton Rouge or unincorporated EBR. St George has everything near the mall that is north of the interstate (BCBS) and south Ward's creek (Swaggart).
St George includes Swaggert, Perkins Rowe, the shopping center with Rouse's & Buffalo Wild Wings, etc.
Not in St George (per the map): the Mall and surrounding businesses like the theater, best buy, Oschner, Area 51, etc. BR General, Crawfish Aquatics and the Renaissance are also not in St. George.
